The Butchart Gardens, National Historic Site of Canada is a privately owned 55 acre display garden located just 35 minutes north of downtown Victoria. Highlights of the Summer season include the Rose Garden with over 250 varieties of roses, eco-friendly boat tours, an extensive perennial border, Night Illuminations, evening entertainment every night in July and August, a dazzling Fireworks show with both aerial and ground displays choreographed to show tunes (Saturdays in July and August). The visit won’t be complete without a stop in the Seed & Gift Store filled with unique gifts and souvenirs, or a snack or meal in one of the on-site restaurants. The Rose Carousel with 30 hand-carved animals will be sure to delight children (and adults) of all ages. |
